Why does not PETA, with it's huge funds, take care of all the circus animals and run a sanctuary. They could test if it is feasible to take care of these animals without extra resources. People could visit to see them and understand about these animals. No money should be collected from others, but the contributions should come from only it's members and their monthly earnings. They could sell their property and volunteer by staying with them lifelong (just like how the current owners take care of them till they have a natural death)

As VS Achuthanandan told, Mata Amrithanandamayi Devi hails from a poor dalit community. But, the people respect and follow her merely because of her dalit background ; it is because of her spiritual appeal only. In case Amma is from an Upper Caste or rich family, what would have been the opinion of Achuthanandan on the book of Gail Tredwell ? So, we have to look into merits in the allegations of Tredwell. When Gail Tredwell joined Mata Amrutanandmayi Ashram sometime in 1980 or before, Amma or her Ashram was not well known even to the people of Karunagapally and nearby villages in Kerala. In case Tredwell had to suffer too much atrocities in the Ashram at that time, she could have easily quit the place immediately. And Treadwell could have lodged a complaint with the police. Nobody can tell that Amma was supported by powerful people at that time. There was no money in the Ashram. In spite of all these sufferings, why did Tredwell continued in the Ashram for another 20 years in the name of spiritualism ? What was the real reason behind her departure from India in 1998 ? After her departure from India, what was she doing abroad ? What was the source of income of Tredwell during this period ? We have to inquire about these issues and then we will get to the truth.

If somebody publish a book from abroad, the Kerala police cannot order an inquiry on that basis. Ms. Gail Tredwel has not brought any documentary evidence against Amma or anybody else. She has only made some wild allegations. If Tredwell is so serious about it, she should have come to India and lodge a petition before the police. She has not done it. Then how our police can intervene in this matter? According to her narration in the book, she was alleged to have been raped and tortured in the first six years of her stay in the Ashram. It means it happened sometime in 1980-85 period. As everybody know, during these period Matha Amritanandmayi was little known even in Kollam District. If Ms.Tredwell made a complaint to police at that time, police would have definitely taken some action. Then why did Ms.Tredwell suffer all the ill-treatment in the Ashram? Why did she stay in the Ashram till 1998 in spite of all these sufferings? What were the activities of Ms. Tredwell all these years after leaving India? Then another question will arise. Why not Amma file a defamation suit against Ms. Tredwell? What the court will do in that eventuality? The case will prolong like Palmolein case, Ice-cream Parlour case, the dispute on Swami Saswatheekananda's death, Orthodox-partriacese group dispute and so on. It will be another case for prolonged public discussion. Those who are making allegations against Matha Amritanandamayi Devi want to keep the issue hot for ever to tarnish the image of her.

He had told the truth. Number of books have been written on Amma by many foreign disciples depicting her in a positive way. It has not become a matter of hot discussion. But when someone writes a book criticizing Amma, it becomes a matter of interest to so many intellectuals.

Sandeepananda giri is a selfish fellow who enjoys all posh facilities and thinks that nobody knows about this. He puts his own versions in Geetha and misguide the devotees as they do not know the deep meaning of sanscrit slogas. He has no authority to speak against Amma. Amma is a selfless human being who gave away everything for poor and downtrodden people. When Sunami came we never seen sandeepananda giri anywhere near. Amma herself came forward to help the affected people and provided help to the suffering people. Even Governments could not do what Amma has done for Sunami affected people. Dont try to fool the people. Here in kerala we have a CM who took Sunami fund and spent for some other purpose !!!!! Amma is a social reformer with a real communist mindset showing the world, how a person can use his or her life for reforming the society and uplift the downtrodden people and fight against the unethical and inhuman social evils equpipped with pure love and effection.
